2020 Gaithersburg UkeFest

In only it’s 2nd festival, Gaithersburg UkeFest is now on the map as one of the premier ukulele festivals in the United States. The organizers attempt to provide an environment for learning by keeping most of the workshops offered to a maximum of 24 students. There are 76 workshop offerings over 8 workshop sessions, taught by a staff of 21 ukulele instructors. There will be concerts on Friday and Saturday evening. A Hula seminar (Pilipa’a Hula Seminar) will be offered for intermediate to advanced level hula dancers during the festival by Kumu Sheldeen Haleamau. There will also be a Children’s Ukulele Festival occurring Saturday morning from 9:00-12 noon.
