Ukulele Groups have struggled during successive Lockdowns and restrictions and having a Festival to work towards has provided motivation and incentive to stick together.\nKCC have kindly allowed us to carry over the funding to this year. We hope to make this year a celebration of survival and commemoration to loss. We want everyone to see this as a point in time to gather and be thankful we are still here to play.\nThis is a ticketed event\, and tickets will he allocated by Group size by the organisers.\nWe are also open to have anyone with a connected trade or skill to display their work on tables in the Hall during the event.\nAll proceeds to a local Charity. DESCRIPTION:MEETINGS FOR 2021 \nHi folks\, we are now meeting back at the Maroochy RSL on the 2nd & 4th Sundays of each month\, although there will be a couple of date changes throughout the year of which we will advise.   \nMeetings kick off at 1pm.\nJune 13th & 27th\nJuly 11th & 25th\nAugust 8th & 22nd\nSeptember 12th & 26th\nOctober 10th & 24th\nNovember 14th & 28th\nDecember 12th & 19th \nAt our club meetings\, we’ll be running Zoom for club members who can’t get to the meetings and members living interstate. To access our Zoom sessions you need to be a current club member and you will need to download the Zoom app on your device. Here’s the link:  ZOOM APP  I will send out our Zoom meeting access details prior to a meeting.  \nThe RSL Covid safety regulations specify that we can only have up to 96 people in the room\, including the band. To allow us to keep to our correct number of Scumsters\, you will need to book by emailing Lynne & Ron here at this link:   sc**********@***il.com  To book your seat please email this link which will be open to bookings following the previous meeting. You will be notified by email of your confirmed booking. You can only book for one meeting at a time. \nThe RSL has also requested that we charge each person $10 per meeting. However\, for that $10 you will receive a $10 RSL voucher\, which will allow you to purchase drinks\, coffee\, or meals. The RSL will invoice our club for each $10 paid. \nWhen you arrive at the RSL\, please go upstairs where Lynne & Ron will be situated at the entrance to the room. They will check your booking and this is where you can purchase your $10 voucher\, renew your membership and pick up your membership card.  \nHaving so many rules and conditions is not how we want to run SCUM\, but we know you all understand why these regulations are put in place. We want to keep all of you and us safe & well. So\, please remember when you come to our meetings wash your hands regularly\, give your hands a sanitiser squirt as you come into the room\, be mindful of social distancing\, and respect the RSL regulations. And as much as we all want to do the happy ukulele players dance and give each other a big hug\, it will have to be elbows or any other part of the body that does not involve the face.

DESCRIPTION:Since the lockdown in the Spring\, we have been meeting every Thursday at 3 pm EDT (8 pm BST\, 12 noon PDT\, 9 am HST) for an hour of three chord songs in a given era\, category\, or theme. Anyone\, anywhere in the world is welcome to join as a participant or performer or both. You can request to perform a song\, as we aim to fit up to 10 songs per session. \nUse the link in the webpage or linked blogpost for that particular session to register and receive an e-mail of the Zoom meeting link\, ID and password.  Enter anytime you like to chit chat\, set up\, exchange tips etc. At 3 pm EDT\, we start promptly with a warm-up\, usually exercises that apply to songs for that session. Then we have the famous sunglass ritual — be sure to bring your sunglasses. We usually have a POLL. Then we run through on average 10 songs. Sometimes we run over but everyone is free to exit at 4 pm EDT.
